Member Spotlight: Samantha Tracy, Free Clinic of Southwest Washington

Samantha is the AmeriCorps VISTA Volunteer Coordinator for the Free Clinic of Southwest Washington. The Free Clinic serves low income or no income, uninsured people in Clark County.  In 2010, the Free Clinic benefited from 650 volunteers who helped meet the demand for services by almost 11,000 patient visits that year.

Samantha has a lengthy history with volunteering and has volunteered at a number of organizations, including: Planned Parenthood, "I Have a Dream Foundation", and the Portland Art Museum.  She finds inspiration from a quote by the Dalai Lama, "Compassion and tolerance are not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength."
